What LiveCue is
LiveCue is a desktop interview copilot for people in an active job search. You load your wiki, resume notes, and company research into the app. During a live call, a stealth overlay listens to the conversation and surfaces answers that reference your actual projects instead of generic filler.
We are not trying to replace interview prep. We are trying to make the prep you already did show up when the pressure is on.
Why we built it
Interview copilots exploded in 2025 and 2026. Most of them upload your audio to the cloud, charge monthly forever, and treat your resume like a checkbox. After high-profile breaches and billing horror stories, candidates started asking for something that respects a 4–8 week search window and keeps sensitive conversations local.
LiveCue is our answer: a small native app (~10MB), on-device speech where hardware allows, local prep indexing, and pricing that includes a one-time Job-Pack so you are not fighting a subscription cancel button the day you sign an offer letter.
How it works
Before the call, you add context profiles and prep docs. The app embeds them locally so retrieval stays fast and private.
During the call, LiveCue captures system audio (what you hear from Zoom, Meet, Teams, or similar), transcribes it on-device when possible, and streams suggestions into an overlay that stays invisible to screen share.
After the call, you get a local session summary you can export. We meter minutes for managed AI billing; we do not store the transcript on our servers by default.

People who want prep-aware answers and are willing to do the work upstream: writing good notes, practicing aloud, and checking AI output before repeating it.

Open source
The desktop client is GPL-3.0. You can inspect how audio is captured, how the overlay hides from recordings, and where data is stored. Managed AI and account services are hosted separately and power the optional cloud path.

LiveCue is built by a small team focused on interview tooling, desktop performance, and honest pricing. We ship frequently and read support mail ourselves.
