Agreement
These Terms of Service govern your use of LiveCue websites (including livecue.co), your account, license keys, and the managed-AI backend that powers optional cloud features in the desktop app.
By creating an account, purchasing a plan, or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use LiveCue.
The service
LiveCue provides interview preparation tools: a desktop overlay, system-audio capture, speech-to-text, AI-generated suggestions, prep-document context, and related features described on our site and in the app.
The desktop application is open source under GPL-3.0. Managed AI, license validation, and account features are hosted services subject to these terms and your plan limits.
We may update features, models, and quotas. We will not intentionally remove paid features you already purchased mid-cycle without a remedy described at purchase time.
Accounts and licenses
You must provide a valid email and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
License keys activate the desktop app on a limited number of devices per plan. Sharing keys outside your household or team violates these terms unless your plan explicitly allows multiple seats.
We may suspend or revoke licenses for fraud, abuse, chargebacks, or violations of these terms.
Acceptable use
You are responsible for how you use LiveCue. Many employers prohibit AI assistance during interviews. Read your company's policies and applicable laws before using any copilot in a live interview.
You may not use LiveCue to harass others, scrape our infrastructure, reverse-engineer hosted services to bypass billing, resell access without permission, or attempt to degrade the service for other users.
We do not encourage dishonesty. LiveCue is built to help you articulate preparation you already did, not to fabricate experience you do not have.
Billing and refunds
Prices are shown at checkout and in your dashboard. Managed AI usage is metered in minutes according to your plan.
Job-Pack is a one-time purchase with a fixed minute allowance and time window, with no auto-renew. Refund terms for Job-Pack are described at purchase (currently a 7-day no-questions window where stated on the pricing page).
Monthly plans renew until you cancel through the billing portal. Canceling stops future charges; it does not retroactively refund the current period unless required by law.
If you hit your quota during a live session, LiveCue finishes that session rather than cutting you off mid-answer. Future sessions require a top-up or plan upgrade.
AI disclaimer
AI suggestions can be wrong, outdated, or poorly matched to the question. You must review output before speaking it aloud.
We do not guarantee interview outcomes, job offers, or employer detection avoidance. Detection risk is real and varies by interviewer, format, and your delivery.
Privacy
Our Privacy Policy at /privacy describes how we handle data. It is incorporated into these terms by reference.
Intellectual property
LiveCue branding, site content, and hosted service code are owned by LiveCue or its licensors. GPL-licensed desktop source is available under the terms of that license.
You retain ownership of prep documents and content you create. You grant us only the limited rights needed to provide the service (for example, processing a prompt through a model when you use managed AI).
Limitation of liability
LiveCue is provided as is to the maximum extent permitted by law. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including lost job opportunities, employer action, or reliance on AI output.
Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred US dollars if you have not paid anything.
Termination
You may stop using LiveCue at any time. We may terminate or suspend access for breach of these terms or to comply with law.
Sections that by nature should survive (billing obligations, disclaimers, liability limits) survive termination.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Delaware unless applicable consumer law requires otherwise.
