Install in a few steps

Follow these in order. Most people are up and running in under two minutes.

  1. Install LiveCue

Open the downloaded .dmg file. Drag LiveCue into Applications, then eject the disk image.

  2. Open from Applications

Always launch LiveCue from your Applications folder — not from the mounted disk image.

  3. If macOS says "can't open" or the app looks damaged

Click Done (not Move to Bin). Then follow Option A below for Open Anyway.

This is normal for apps downloaded outside the App Store. Double-click LiveCue once to trigger the alert above, click Done, then use Open Anyway in System Settings (Option A).

Option A — System Settings (recommended, no Terminal)

    1. In Applications, double-click LiveCue once. When the “Not Opened” alert appears, click Done.
    2. Open System Settings (Apple menu → System Settings, or ⌘ Space → type System Settings)
    3. Click Privacy & Security in the sidebar, scroll to Security
    4. Click Open Anyway in System Settings, then click Open Anyway again in the confirmation dialog (not Move to Bin)
    5. Open LiveCue from Applications again
Privacy & Security → Security → click Open Anyway next to LiveCue.
Click Open Anyway (middle button), not Move to Bin.

Don't see Open Anyway? Make sure you double-clicked LiveCue and clicked Done on the alert first — the button only shows up after that attempt.

Option B — paste one command in Terminal

    1. Open Terminal (press ⌘ Space, type Terminal, press Enter)
    2. Click Copy command, paste into Terminal, and press Enter
    3. Open LiveCue from Applications
Press ⌘ Space, type Terminal, then press Enter.
    xattr -cr /Applications/LiveCue.app
    Terminal — zsh
Paste the command, press Enter, then open LiveCue from Applications.

Use this if Open Anyway never appears. It removes macOS's quarantine flag only — it does not change LiveCue itself.
